Family & Friends

His family history includes his uncle Sean McGarry (important in the early days of the Irish State, google & wikipedia him). Ian’s early summers in Galway staying with his McGann cousins must reveal some interesting tales, Ian only tells the ones about riding off on donkeys!

His schooling was with The Christian Brothers at Westland Row in Dublin, as an alumnus he was awarded The Row Man Of The Year, a fine and cherished Crystal trophy. Afterwards he trained as an Electrical Engineer and simultaneous studied at The School of Music. He gave up designing substations for the ESB to work in television.
