Lovely pic of Ian. The number of accolades for you Ian is amazing, as a producer/Director you are an amazing person to work with. Talented for sure but your treatment and acknowledgement of other people’s talents was your great attribute. You’re respect and understanding for individuals and their difficulties in their lives made you stand out above the rest. I remember one situation in my life where I needed to get home quickly to deal with a personal issue and you had such a high understanding of family values and needs that you told me to go home and look after your family, you stated to me that nothing is more important than family. Although the show must go on for sure but not at the expense of damage to an individual’s family. Apart from your exceptional talents in TV production, I’ll always respect you for the way you treated me and other colleagues in RTE , you are one of the greats of RTE.
